A regas is not simply a refrigerant top-up. Refrigerant circulates within a sealed circuit, so a low charge usually means there is a leak or a previous repair has not been correctly recommissioned. Our industrial refrigeration engineer starts with system identification, operating checks and fault diagnosis before recommending a recharge.
The service can include leak detection, pressure or tightness checks, recovery of the existing charge, repair assessment, evacuation, dehydration and a measured recharge to the manufacturer’s data. We then check operating pressures, temperatures and cooling performance and provide the relevant service record.
We support process chillers, packaged cooling equipment, cold-room plant and industrial refrigeration systems. Common air-conditioning refrigerants include R32, R410A and R407C, while refrigeration plant may use R404A, R448A or R449A. The correct refrigerant and charge must always be confirmed from the equipment data and system design; refrigerants are never mixed or substituted casually.
